The cast and creative team of Onwards and Sideways arrived on the Toronto International Film Festival red carpet for the film’s Gala Presentation world premiere.
Directed by John Madden and written by Paul Mayhew-Archer, the film stars Rhys Ifans and Laura Linney, alongside Monica Dolan and Rory Kinnear. It is an emotional and unexpected story of two people with lots in common – a great sense of humour, a love of adventure, and an unexpected diagnosis of Parkinson’s.
Produced by Hilltop Screen for John Gore Studios and the BBC, the film will be in UK cinemas 6 November, followed by BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
